About the Event

Malachi 4:5-6 reminds us of an important work to be done before the second coming of Jesus – turning hearts. Whose hearts? The hearts of the fathers to the children and the children to the fathers. It is a work of restoration – restoration of the family.

The book Education tells us that the work of true education is a work of restoration. It is a work of restoring God’s ideal in mankind. We read that “Never will education accomplish all that it might and should accomplish until parents fully recognize the importance of their work and receive a training for its sacred responsibilities.” – Education, 276.

Is that final message of Malachi connected with the work of true education? Indeed it is, for true education is incomplete if it does not begin with the restoration of the family. And this work of restoration is a work all of God’s people are called to be a part of as we embrace true education to prepare a people for the second coming of Jesus.

This true education retreat, themed "Preparing an Ark", is an event focused on the work of true education and the restoration of the family. Here's a sneak preview of the sessions you'll attend at this year's event:

Experience inspiring and practical messages from a variety of speakers focused on parenting, homeschooling, lifestyle, and many other topics focused on true education.

Agriculture Experience

Enjoy practical family friendly sessions in the garden where you'll get a chance to plant, cultivate, and even harvest some of the produce that we'll eat later in the week.

The Kitchen Classroom

If you've wondered how to use the kitchen as a classroom, these workshops will show you how to turn cookery into an excellent learning experience for the whole family.

Natural Remedy Fundamentals

We'll share simple natural remedies you can use at home to maintain and improve the health of your family, including the ingredients you should have in your home "first aid" kit.

Making new connections

Visiting and sharing with other like-minded families can be a great encouragement. There is plenty of time in the schedule to take advantage of the opportunities of fellowship.

Sharing through Music

Do you enjoy music? Each day will include a family choir rehearsal. Please bring your instruments to participate in song service and maybe even an orchestra.
